Beatrice Maina

Research Officer
Beatrice works on the Resource Flows project under the Population Dynamics and Reproductive Health research program. The Resource Flows project monitors progress achieved by donors and developing countries in implementing the financial resources agreed to at the ICPD in Cairo in 1994. Her job entails coordinating the annual domestic survey in sub-Saharan Africa.
Education: Master of Arts degree in Population Studies (University of Nairobi) and Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Economics (Kenyatta University).
Beatrice joined APHRC in April 2011 prior to which she was a Young Professional at Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis(KIPPRA). She has also worked as a research consultant in various other organizations such as UNICEF-Kenya, University of Nairobi, Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) and National Council for Population and Development (NCPD). Her research interests include family planning, sexual and reproductive health behavior and outcomes, and maternal health.
